Switching approaches

After a year and half of focusing my attentions on population divergence in Arabidopsis lyrata across soil types, I will be shifting my efforts in the coming months to understanding how Tunisian ecotypes of Medicago truncatula differ in tolerance of saline soils.  This will be part of an exciting new project, in collaboration with Maren Friesen, Doug Cook, Sharon Strauss and Sergey Nuzhdin.  Although I'll retain my interest in Arabidopsis and serpentine, there is more potential to address the range of questions in which I am interested in Medicago.

Information on my Medicago work will be available at:
nlab.usc.edu
Medicago.ucdavis.edu
groups.google.com/group/mtr_salinity_pgrp
and eventually here
